"relaxed and goofy tech videos."
that's what this channel is all about.
When the other channels have filled your ears with nothing but specs and facts,
good old Green Ham is here to help you sit back and relax.
Some of our videos suck and others rule but the one thing in common with them all,
is that they will never make you feel like a fool or let you slip and fall.
So make a cup of tea as we make everything alright.
but viewer beware, you better hold on tight.
Behind every video, good times will follow.
So enjoy the ride, and let us destroy your sorrow.

Scrapper Battle: $300 (AUD) PC Build Challenge
So, who is the better scrapper? Me, or my best pal WilleWD?
Watch us battle to see who is the greater scrapper with $300 AUD.
It all started when Tim, a little tipsy one night, boasted that he could destroy William in a scrapper PC build-off. The challenge was on! Both William and TIM scoured the internet for the best deals, traveled far and wide to pick up the parts, and put together the rigs. They then ran a series of performance tests to see whose PC could handle the heat. Who will emerge victorious? Don't miss out on the... surprising results!

Overclocking the GTX 650
Просмотров 42 тыс.6 месяцев назад
We explore the forgotten potential of the GTX 650 with a subtle overclock with a mix of both new and classic game titles. This video is a bit of a Spiritual successor to my “Overclocking the 5450” video made many years ago. The intro gives a bit of a nod to that video. This video is a bit of a humorous story really in the sense that WilleWD and I thought it would be fun to try pump out a fast v...

PC Stories: Tim's Ryzen Dell

The first episode in a new series, PC Stories Featuring my 5-year old Ryzen 1700X Dell tower. The idea of this series is simple. Here’s a PC and here’s the life it has lived. I feel strongly that there are many excellent channels on RUclips that focus on performance numbers already. While this is important and often fascinating, I feel the essence of this channel has always been sit right at th...

i would grab that sff dell, the reason being that it meets the minimum hardware spec for windows 11/server 2022. presumably it would also have nvme supports
great video! 🎉
Good battle, despite Tim cheating on the budget 😉. I'd probably go for William's route in terms of price to performance and getting the best value for money, but I'd personally prefer Tim's PC due to the competitive games I play which are CPU intensive. Also, power efficiency is important as electricity isn't cheap where I'm from (UK). Then again, he went over budget.
My ps4 make no noise at all its quiet even playing gt sport
I have that same Sony Vaio laptop love it
I really enjoyed this review! Thank you for the care you put into the video, it's helping me with making a decision what camcorder to buy!
You could of used a low profile 4060 or A2000 Nvidia
Amd 6400
YOU LOOK LIKE A LOT LIKE ALAN RUCK. Are you his son?
Yeah 6400 will be better long term...
Poor computer! :<
Seems like Willie is held back by drivers, and you're held back by ram as evident by lows. Interesting
Can i just upgrade cpu and still mod to play all games from old gen or do i leave insides alone
8 years later, now try play 2024 games on a skylake i7, you'll get pentium D's CS GO performance. Still, not gonna upgrade :P PS: on an overclocked radeon 6600XT xD
Would've gone with i5 rig BUT even a skylake i7 BARELY holds up in today's games even in CS2! I barely get 80-90 frames yet a radeon 6600xt at 1440p gets 300-400! So, always go with a better cpu. Gpu can be upgraded later.
So powerful some was used in the military
My understanding is that the WiiU CPU was weak, even for 2012
loved ur video as always!
Loved this battle!
Poped up in my feed never seen a vid of yours before, but damn this was good also gotta support Aussie creators, also the viking mate sniping that gpu for you while eating at ikea just made me crack up!
I am a long time subscriber, whenever one of your videos is uploaded, i was sincerely happy about it and never tought "one video is not enough!" Or "more videos more videos!".... So no apology for me and the other that thinks like me, take your time, do your best at the pace you think is right... We will wait for the next wonderful video once again 😉
When Will pulled out the R9 i thought it was completely over for the Dell, but once you cut to the Time Spy test i was actually very surprised to see how similar they did. ...I was even more surprised when i heard the noise levels as i've had one of those R9's myself. How can anything be louder?!
We were as suprised as you. That blower fan for the CPU in the Dell really do know how to make noise. The R9 didn't do much better tho....
I'll go the GHG route of building a PC.
Temperature?
Have you ever searched up the temperature of the sun? 😅
Babe wake up green ham gaming just dropped a 30 min video, get the popcorn
more please
if ghg had a better gpu it'd be over
13:01 You know those motherboards will run Xeon CPUs right? You can snag a E3-1241 (4c8t 3.5ghz base) for around $20ish
Absolutely obsessed with this, Tim! Love the content and love your style!!! I can't wait to see what else Sweden brings you 🥹❤
20 years now :)
I enjoyed this really hard. Please do a second part.
its tuesday, i have nothing to do at work, and there's a new ghg video out for my enjoyment. i haven't seen this in a looooooooong time.
What a great video! I would've chosen GHG's PC because i'm starting to get tired of browsing and getting deals, i really do suck at buying, but also, i like the smaller form of that PC... i still liked WilleWD's PC a lot as well.
In these _"Epic Scrap Battles Of History",_ you could totally have occasionally episodes with restrictions applied, such as an episode whereby the OS has to be 32Bit (e.g. 32Bit Windows10 or Win8 or win7). Or an episode might be for a Linux-OS-Only build PC. You could also have points for 7zip benchmarks and UltimateBoot CD RAM testing benchmarks, and also Office-Suite-Benchmarks and Hard-drive loading or transfer-speed benchmarks _(and maybe OpenCL benchmarks for CPU and then separately GPU, or even cran-project-R matrices benchmarks)._ That means that even if you computer is a flop, you still have lottery 'bonus-ball style points that can be had from the CPU and RAM alone. There could be a postgresML benchmark for the RUST API which then loads Javascript and python. A demoscene could be a different benchmark too. You could also have a mystery-component box for a GPU whereby you do not know what the GPU is _(other than the fact is is say PCIe3)_ so that, if you end up not buying a GPU, you could go for the mystery-Box GPU on the condition that, upon opening it and revealing what it is, you must use it. It would probably need a (maybe 800Watt) PSU to go with it so you know you can run it _(no matter if it is a low-power or high-power wattage the surprise GPU is to be)_ and that then means that you thereby know it can be used but the wattage of the GPU is not revealed _(until taken out the box, if that were to even happen at all)._ Perhaps unsurprisingly, a 3rd party would need to secretly supply the secret GPU in a box. My comment has no hate in it and I do no harm. I am not appalled or afraid, boasting or envying or complaining... Just saying. Psalms23: Giving thanks and praise to the Lord and peace and love. Also, I'd say Matthew6.
Green light for season 2!
Outside of the heavily CPU bound games, there was nothing in it for the game performance, which was fascinating to see
For someone lazy like myself, I like Tim's method best. Minimal effort, minimal buying, done. Also, I miss the old HP design ethos, the older models just looked cooler. And it really blows that you can't use a vacuum inside a PC because that dust was insane.
so many retro tech channels going _ham_ lately, I love it.
goood
the face on ghg at the end of the vid he looks salty he lost 😂
THAT BGM AT THE COMPARISON IS LITERALLY SKATEBOARD FROM WII FIT PLUS
It is indeed😊
I LOVE your content. Much love from Costa Rica!!
I loved this video. It's just got that grassroots charm you don't get from big channels. Please do more, but don't be afraid to switch up the format or rules. I'd take the Dell. Even though I have five.
Lol I've done the "fan redirecting the spicy dust cloud" trick before. That's what we call and engineering solution right there
Gents, this was fantastic. You guys should do a second war for sure- this was a blast to watch as a professional and hobby tech. Keep up the awesome work gents!
Me and the bois pulling up to the "infart"
All the animations and graphics are super cool
Was cutting out a hole in the pc case against the rules to make room for a better gpu/psu?
Nope. I actually suggest that he should do that. Which he explained in a part in the video. But he didn't want to. Maybe I should do just that in the next battle? 🤔
i5 8500+ r9 290x xd
That would've been the ultimate combo👌
Yes I want more battles like these ❤
